I've written this section a million times and can never come up with something that I like. So...I thought I'd share some photos to make it a little more interesting :)
I grew up in a small town in Southern Oregon. You can see glimpses of my childhood in the photos below. Looking at them always makes me wish I could go back in time. My dad invested in a great Canon film camera before my time and we used it throughout my high school years. My fascination and appreciation of photography began with that camera.
After graduating high school, I attended a nearby community college where I met my (now) husband. I moved back with him to the Portland area after a couple of years and I finished up my college education at Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and began a career in Human Resources. We got married, bought our first home and adopted two dogs.
My husband bought my first DSLR camera for me as a Christmas gift in 2007 (I wouldn't spend the money but had wanted one desperately for quite some time) - and my passion for photography grew quickly. I studied the technical stuff and began photographing anyone that would let me...and took so many photos of my dogs that they began trying to hide from me when they saw my camera.
In 2010 I became a mom to the most precious baby boy and, of course, wanted to capture EVERYTHING. I began focusing on photographing babies and families because there is nothing in this world that is more precious to me.
